Thanks for visiting our site! Roy's Train World is a family owned and operated "exclusively trains" hobby store located in Mesa, Arizona, and is devoted solely to the world of model trains. Roy's Train World has been doing business at the same address since it was founded by LeRoy Honetschlager in February of 1974. We are the largest and most complete source for model trains and railfan information in Arizona. We stock complete liones of Z scale, N scale, HO, Lionel, and Marklin, as well as large scale Bachmann. We're not just trains though, we also maintain a large selection of paints, scenery and scratch building materials, books and magazines both used and new, DVD's, t-shirts, hats, mugs and much much more. But, we also have toys for the chronologically young, not just the young at heart. We carry a complete line of Thomas wooden trains as well as a variety of other Thomas items such as puzzles and games.

Currently, Roy's Train World is run by Tim Honetschlager, Roy's son. Tim is one of the founding members of the Arizona Railway Museum and maintains ties to the National Model Railroading Association, and the Arizona division of the PSR/NMRA. He maintains a library of southwest railroad information that is one of the most extensive in the state.

We have a very efficient Special Order system, with most orders being turned around within a week to ten days. We ship weekdays all over the country through UPS and USPS. Call during our regular hours to place special orders. We also honor Walther's Sale Catalog prices when the items are special ordered. Call to place special orders during our regular business hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, Thursdays 9:00am to 8:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 5:00pm.
